Phone

So Papa goes to put the girl to sleep and she takes for ever. Papa tries all possible ways. But she keeps asking for mumma.
Finally papa says Ok i become your mumma, now you sleep.

And the prompt reply is - "No you cannot be mumma. If you have to become mumma then you must look into your phone till i fall asleep."

#facepalm :|

Note to self : No more using phone at her bedtime.

Talking

Prisha is really excited about snow this winter. And is waiting desperately for it.

Every morning the first thing she does is look out of the window if it snowed or not.

This mornign I generally said...."oh it has not snowed today either."
And she told me :
"Don't worry mumma if its not snowing yet. Its good. Otherwise how will little children walk to school. They might slip. Also it will be difficult for papa to drive the car. So it will snow when I have school holidays :)"

:)
I could only smile in amazement :)

Love you my dear..

Dear loving daughter Prisha. I was just readings somethign and felt like writing to you.
Yes you are about to turn 4 in 2 weeks. I am really happy. I am happy to have a loving daughter like you who cares sooo much. I love your little gestures of care and concern.  How you get worried when i am little sad and try to make me smile. How you want to join me in everything I do. How you still come lovingly running to me even if i scold you in anger all the time. How you still want me near you when you wake up at night. How you still want to share everything with me.  How you learn things on your own when we hardly spend any time teaching you much. Believe me I am proud of you beyond words can ever explain.

I love you my dear daughter. I cannot be thankful enough for having you in my life. I cannot imagine my life without you. You are me, my life!

May God bless you always!

Prisha Talks

Lately Prisha  has been talking a lot.
Some  of the things which i can recall now

One day when my husband and she picked me up from station, there was one pear in my bag so i gave it to her. She was delighted.

Prisha : Mumma, wat lief dat je voor mij hebt meegenomen! (Mumma, how sweet of you that you brought me this!)

Thas a typical dutch expression to appreciate one's efforts for getting u something.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Prisha : Mumma I want a chocolate.
Me: (In bit string voice) But you didnt finnish your food, so you cannot get chocolate.
Prisha : O mein to mazaak kar rahi thi  (Oh I was just joking) (And runs away)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Me: Who's bday is it today?

Prisha : Dadi's (Grandmother). She will be having a party today. Let's go!

Me : But Dadi lives far away

Prisha ; Oh ya In India. But Dont worry Papa will take us in his car.

Me: But we cannot go there in car, We need to take an aeroplane.

Prisha : O Don't worry then Papa will take us in aeroplane.

Me : But Aeroplane takes lot of time. We will have to go in morning and we will reach only at night.

Prisha: Ok then lets go at night only.

Music

Ok so we have few favorite song these days which Prisha wants to be played on repeatedly.

here is her - Jaagni wala song...
Jugni from Coke Studio (Alif Allah - JUGNI - Arif Lohar - Coke Studio - Meesha Shafi)

She listens to this atleast 5 times in the evening. And she has laready picked up quite a lot of the lyrics. Esp - Jugni Ji

And
Aao wangan chada lo kudiyonnn...
Mere daata de darbaar diyaan...

Next favourite is:

Chal chal mere haathi...from Haathi Mere Saathi.

And she says ..giggling..

"please play chal chal mere Olifant wala song" (Olifant is Elephant in Dutch)

Tummy?

I had to note this down :)

Prisha went to a restaurant with her dad for some afternoon snack as they both had day off and it was a beautiful weather day.

As they reached there and pickedup the place to sit - Prisha noticed a huge fat man sitting next to that seat.

And...

"Look Papa....Kijk kitna bada dhidoo"

(Look Papa...Look what a huge tummy)

:) :)

Am glad the person was non-hindi speaker!!

Shoulder? Soldier?

Prisha has new favorite for 2-3 weeks now..

She loves music and we can get everything - ok most of the things - done in the name of music. She just loves it. I hope this love for music stays forever.

OK so her latest favorite is a song from movie Soldier

Sometime ago we put on the CD from this movie in car. And next time we hear her humming the song .."Soldier Soldier..meethi baatein bol kar..." while looking out of the car window and enjoying the scenery :) (So it seemed)

A day or two later she already knew some lyrics of it too...

Quite often we would hear her singing "Sholder Sholder...meethi baatein..."
Now she know quite bit of the song and here is show she sings it..

"Shoulder Shoulder
meeethi baatein khol kar
dil kyun .,hmm...hmm hmm.. la gaya..."

We tried to correct her by telling her its not shoulder but soldier...but she insisted in it ....and ofcourse with explanation ...
She made it clear we were wrong..

So if you look at the video..you would notice that The Soldier (Bobby Deol) does a shoulder action somewhere (touching his shoulder)

Beat that explanation...so i think we have been wrong all this while :) :)
