April

OK its been amonth since I updated anything here. That does not mean Prisha has not been upto anything. Ofcourse there has been addition to vocabulary, more attenting catching tactics and lot of other activities.

April went great...Prisha has loads of fun with her mamu-mami and Divit bhaiya over from bangalore for a vacation. She would laugh at everything Divit did. She became expert strais climber only because he would go up and down whole day and she would want to follow - though she was able to do so in one direction only. They shared toys. Mamu loved to see her dancing. Mami loved to see her eat on her own. YEs..this is all what she does now. She eats her food on her own...ok not completely but more than half she has on her own and then starts playing with it. That is the sign that I need to intervene and take charge. It's so cute to see her take that sppon towards her mouth with all the focus on trying to balance out the food lest it falls on the way. She does not let us feed her anymore. She even has to take her plate to the kitchen herself. I am glad about it - hope this habit continues *wink*

Another major activity is dancing. She dances at practically every music,,..slight tune anywhere and she starts dancing. Every other day she does some new step - dunno where all is she learning all those steps. She moves her hips left-right, she moves round round...few times she moves with hands on waist other times waving them in air. I so want to keep nurturing this love of hers.

Words she now says :

Sheuusss = Shoes
bach = enough
op = finish
dudu = for milk, food, bottle, sipper
appa = for all fruits - apple, pear, melon
aa jao = come
uppa = upstairs

there are lots more which I am totally unable to recall at this moment.

Besides all this happiness, she fell ill during this time. Her ear infection came back. This time she got very high fever which refused to nudge even afyer so many medicines. She stopped eating, drinking...She literally took only a bottle of milk a day for 3 days. So we had to taker to emergency. They found out that she had some throat infection too along with ear infection, hence no eating drinking. Then they did some blood tests to find out why she is falling ill so often now. Apparently she had some other infection(details of which were not given to us) which should go away on its own. We are just keeping our fingers crossed for ear infection to not return. She already had 3 doses of antibiotics fo it. HOpe its over now.

Tag 4

Swati tagged me on this. It is something like picking up 4th picture from 4th folder in the pictures respository. There were other pictures in such location so i picked up 4th folder of Prisha's pics and 4th picture from there. Here it is...

This picture was taken with a mobile phone - hence the clarity is not there. Prisha was around 6 months at that time and was wearing new green frock with smoking design. My friend "A" had come over and Prisha was having great fun in her lap.

I don't know whom to tag on this...I am such an irregular blogger that i hardly have enough readers to tag...most of the visitors are already tagged by the time I pick up one myself:) So if any of you who is here has not done this..please pick up the tag and leave a message.

Ad Astrum - reach out for the stars

Well well...as everyone must have noticed and ~nm pointed out too, i don't update quick enough about how my baby is moving ahead in her life.
Either i don't notice her actions and adventures or she is slow enough to show us something new. Whatever is the reason - i accept i am lazy at this.
But today I had to write. Prisha started walking sometime back. Infact now she runs around and wants to walk all the time. Till date she has never tried to come down the stairs. She has only tried climbing up that too just 1 step. She would climb one step and sit there - either singing or taking off her shoes and socks or sometimes just trying to figure out - "what next".
Today my husband was going up the stairs and she was downstairs. When he had reached up he just looked down and saw she had already climbed 6-7 steps. He was amazed and slightly scared too. He quickly jumped down and stood behind her lest she stumbles - this being her first try.... But no - she was kind of determined to reach the top :) and YES she did conquer the peak. She climbed all 16 steps and stood there at the top - smiling wide. Best part is she climbs like adults ; with one foot up and then next...taking little support with hands on next step and not like crawling style. Inside her heart she sure was rejoicing at her acheivement. And so was her dad. I am feeling proud too.
I feel sad that i missed it. But still i am happy beyond words for every new step she takes in her life.

God Bless you my darling!! May you keep rising high and achieve all your dreams.

Tring Tring

Prisha's new found love - conversation on telephone. She picks up everything that looks like a phone..be it mobile phone, bank card reader, toy phone or a box. She just picks up the so called phone, presses some numbers on it if there are any keys, puts it on her ear and starts talking in her own gibrish :) She goes...uh..ss..aa..unn...nuuu..nn..nee..chichi..aapa...hbi.. and this conversation goes for 1-2 minutes. When she is done, she says "BYE" and keeps down the phone. Sometimes she says "bye" couple of times as if the other person is not letting her hang up. It's really sweet to see her talk like that. Once she even talked to me while I was at work. Bye has become her favorite word these days. She would say bye to anyone who is moving towards the main door or just going upstairs, or even if that person is just going out of that room. :)

Besides this the sad part is that she is bit unwell. She has got some bad ear infection and that is giving her fever too. She hasn't been eating/drinking well for few days now. And i have to coem to work and leave her home. But thanks to hubby for being there to take care of her. He is there with her for last 3 days. And she is enjoying his company like anything. Infact both of them are.

I know a lot

Latest from the little miracle..

We ask...
Dog does , she says Boh, Boh

Cat does, she says Boh, Boh

Sheep does, she says Boh, Boh

Prisha does, she says Papa , Papa

:)

And
we ask "A" for, she says "Aappa".

And every stuff toy she has is Boh-Boh even if its a doll.

She has mastered the art of clapping hands, rubbing hands, hands up..

For all body parts.......she goes tapping on her head.

And what use is she putting her new learnt skill of walking to...she takes things from me and delivers them to Papa and takes that back from him and delivers it to me...she does not let us keep it even for a second. She just gives it in our hand and takes it back. And laughs aloud at this great achievement.

World - here I come - ON MY FEET

Prisha finally took her independent steps last weekend. And an independent walking round of the house was witnessed yesterday. Yesterday she seemed quite excited about it. She was getting up on her own, balancing her standing up position and taking steps towards next point of interest. She conquered all accesible corners of the area. And corners which were difficult to be invaded walking were conquered by using strong weapons of tears, screaming, shouting, demanding and crying :) And by the end of the day she had given a full ramp walk display to her grandparents and mamu-mami, masi on skype. We were elated and relieved. Hope the spirit of walking continues now.
