Usually on a weekday, Prisha wakes up after I leave for work. So she hardly sees me in the morning. This is because My workplace if bit far away and it takes alot of time to reach there. So i leave quite early from home.
But yesterday and today morning, she woke up around the same time when i do. And first question she asked as soon as she opened her eyes and saw me there was - "Mumma, aaj chutti hai kya?" (Mumma- Is it a holiday today?)
I didn't know how to take that.
Should I feel happy that we both got to see each other in the morning and also that she expects me around on off days only and is strong and prepared for other days. We did do all morning chores together. It was much fun. I decided to go an hour late to work and spend that hour with her instead getting ourselves ready.
Or Should I feel sad that she relates my presence to day off only. And perhaps she misses me inside and feels I be around more. :( :(
I don't know how to feel. I am both sad and happy.
Yesterday i replied to her that no we do not have off day and we both will go for our respective offices ( she insists on calling her daycare as her office)
And today i replied saying i do not have off so I will be going to office but she has off day so she can have lots of fun with her dad. She accepted it with a smile and said "Ok then, give me a hug and lets sleep together for a while". Which I happily yet with choaking throat agreed to.
How our kids grow up to behave so sensibly without complaining. Even we adults fail to do so at times!!
